I love the hat Chris made for me;  it’s so thick and soft, and really lovely.

Look, my foot is the Lock Ness Monster.

::snicker::  Dude, how much have he had?

He’s thinking his foot looks like the Loch Ness Monster. The next book has these idiots in Scotland. That’s kind of eerie, no?

  I like my new hat.

Wow, how cool!  You look awesome in it.  Did you make it yourself?  I love that you wear it to church and freak out all the little old ladies.  :D

Sure there’s some other holiday going on today, but I’m more focused on http://bookgivingday.com/. To celebrate, I will drop a download code for a free Riptide Publishing ebook into the ask box of every single Tumblr user who reblogs this. (Caveat: if this post blows up on me, I may have some…

More on the bulletin board (sorry, proud teacher). I told the kids to color their hearts how ever they wanted, and it did not have to be all pinks and reds unless they wanted to do that. I wanted it to be completely what they wanted to be and how they are right now. So I got lots of variety and each wreath as different as each kid. Some obedient to what is expected of them. Others picking colors based on what they had. Others borrowed colors. Some color dark. Others light. Some had patterns. Some just randomly chose colors. They all are beautiful even the one wreath that the kid decided to glue themself (not that I did not get on to them but that wreath had its charm too and I wanted it up there to show that.). Each wreath different as each kid; each wreath and kid deserving of love.

This is wonderful!  You have such talented 2nd graders.  The wreaths are beautiful, and so is what you wrote about them and your students.  <3

C&R Sims: Nick’s boss

malady579:

Can you see it?  Bottom right next to Zane’s picture.  That’s right.  Zane is Nick’s boss.  FBI is law enforcement in the game, and Nick just joined that career branch, so yeah.  It gets even kinkier.

This is wrong for me.  When I imagine Zane and Nick together, Nick is the “boss” and Zane is the one who has to say “Yes, sir!”. ;)

Once again I was happily simming making other stories in my head, and this happens.

Ty on the phone - “Hey, Kelly, our Cat just gave birth! We’d love for you to adopt one! Just stop by when you have a chance.”

::blink::

::blink blink::

What? WHAT?! Oh, no she didn’t.

Ty: Thanks…

Oh no, Whiskey.  You’re so young; what were you thinking?  The kittens are adorable, though.  Maybe Kelly can adopt the girl kitties and Nick can adopt the boy kitty for a boat cat.

C&R Sims: Visiting the neighbors

malady579:

What I was going to post today got upended because some people wanted to see Nick and Zane in the same screen.  This turned out to be a good idea since the game wanted to go there anyway without my prodding.

Nick and Kelly were out by the mailbox talking about baseball and yetis (idk), when Nick got an invite to Zane Garrett’s party.  Amusing since they have not even met yet.  Sure, he’ll attend.  (Not sure why Zane’s face is covered in grape jam there.)

image

Nick runs across the street and changes into his tux out of sight around the corner.  (I still don’t know)  Seems to me like he is trying to calm down before entering all smooth and collected.  Whiskey and Tango find him though and greet him.  Nick scratches them behind the ear.

image

Drawing his courage, Nick knocks on the door, and Zane comes out all suave.  All sexy.  They make eye contact.

OMG Zane and Nick! I love the conversation option, “Ask for pillow fight”!   That would totally be the option I’d pick.
